- Collaborate with the Neurosurgery/Spine Clinic team to provide the highest level of care to patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans under the supervision of a physician.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and prescribing medications.
- Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and preventative measures.
- Assist in surgeries and provide post-operative care to patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress, make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, and communicate updates to the physician.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Stay current with advancements and developments in neurosurgery and spine care through continuing education and professional development.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families.
- Act as a patient advocate and promote patient-centered care.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and coordinating care with other healthcare providers.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the clinic.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Biology Or Pre-Med.
Completion Of An Accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Active And Unrestricted Physician Assistant License In The State Of California.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Neurosurgery Or Spine Clinic Setting.
Board Certification As A Physician Assistant In Neurosurgery Or Related Specialty.
