Job Description

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is looking for an experienced and motivated Physical Therapist - Orthopedic Clinical Resident to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for physical therapy and orthopedic care, and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited school, a valid physical therapy license, and a minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting. Knowledge of orthopedic physical therapy principles, evaluation techniques, and treatments is preferred. In addition, the successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, and be able to work productively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide the highest quality of physical therapy and orthopedic care to patients.
  2. Evaluate patients to determine individualized physical therapy plans and develop appropriate treatment goals.
  3. Administer manual therapy, exercise, and other therapeutic interventions as appropriate to meet patient’s needs.
  4. Develop and implement patient education and discharge planning.
  5. Document patient progress and accurately enter data into the electronic medical record.
  6. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  7. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
  8. Maintain valid physical therapy license and stay current on advances in physical therapy and orthopedic care.
  9. Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  10. Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with hospital protocols and safety regulations.
