
Patient Service Representative II

- Greet and assist patients and their families in a professional and friendly manner.
- Register patients, verify insurance information, and update patient demographics.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with patients and healthcare providers.
- Collect and process co-payments and other payments from patients.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
- Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Stay updated on insurance policies, regulations, and procedures to provide accurate information to patients.
- Train and mentor new patient service representatives.
- Provide administrative support to other departments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in team meetings and provide valuable input for process improvement.
- Demonstrate commitment to the organization's mission and values.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Insurance Verification Processes.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Customer Service Or Patient Facing Role.
Proficient In Using Electronic Medical Record Systems And Other Computer Software Programs.
