- Assess and evaluate patient mobility needs and create individualized plans for safe and comfortable movement during their stay at the medical center.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure proper implementation of patient mobility plans and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Educate patients and their families on safe mobility techniques and assistive devices to promote independence.
- Monitor and document patient progress and make necessary adjustments to mobility plans as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including organizing and maintaining mobility equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and promote a positive patient experience.
- Stay up-to-date on current mobility principles and techniques, and participate in training and development opportunities as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to prevent patient harm and maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients during mobility activities, especially for those who may have physical limitations or disabilities.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient satisfaction and work towards continuously improving the quality of patient care.
Current Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls)
Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably With Patients Who Have Mobility Impairments
Knowledge Of Proper Body Mechanics And Safe Patient Handling Techniques
Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Healthcare Team Members.
