- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Accurately and efficiently register patients into the electronic health record system
- Collect and verify patient insurance and demographic information
- Schedule appointments and procedures for patients, following established guidelines and protocols
- Communicate with patients and their families regarding appointment details, insurance coverage, and financial responsibilities
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure timely and accurate patient registration and scheduling
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Resolve patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Update and maintain patient accounts and records
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
- Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on industry changes and advancements
- Adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Patient Registration Or Scheduling
High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With Additional Education Or Certification In Healthcare Administration Preferred
Proficiency In Electronic Medical Record Systems And Other Computer Applications Used In Healthcare, Such As Insurance Verification And Billing Software
Excellent Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Empathetically With Patients And Their Families
Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Multitask In A Fast-Paced, High-Pressure Environment, While Maintaining Accuracy And Confidentiality Of Patient Information.
