  1. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families by answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic and insurance information.
  4. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring that all necessary information and documentation is obtained prior to the appointment.
  5. Manage incoming and outgoing phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication in a courteous and efficient manner.
  6. Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes to ensure proper coverage for medical services.
  7. Coordinate with laboratory staff to ensure timely delivery of test results to patients and healthcare providers.
  8. Maintain a thorough understanding of the services offered by the Pathology department, and effectively communicate this information to patients and their families.
  9. Handle billing inquiries and work with patients to resolve any billing discrepancies.
  10. Continuously strive to improve the customer service experience by identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
  12. Participate in training and development programs to enhance customer service skills and knowledge of the healthcare industry.
  13. Keep abreast of changes and updates in policies and procedures related to customer service and the Pathology department.
  14. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or departmental leadership.
