
Nursing Assistant, ICU

As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting our nurses and healthcare team in delivering exceptional care to our critically ill patients. - Assist nurses and healthcare team in providing exceptional care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Prepare and transport patients for medical procedures and tests.
- Administer medications under the supervision of a nurse.
- Document patient care activities accurately and report any observations or concerns to the nursing team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of illnesses.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in educational and training opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for patients and their families.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with end-of-life care and support for patients and their families.
- Help with the admission and discharge process for patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing team or supervisor.
- Uphold the mission and values of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in all interactions and responsibilities.
Bls Certification From The American Heart Association.
Completion Of An Accredited Nursing Assistant Program Or Equivalent Education And Experience.
Current Certification As A Nursing Assistant In The State Of California.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience As A Nursing Assistant In An Icu Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
