- Conduct neurodiagnostic testing: Perform EEG, EMG, and evoked potential tests on patients to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
- Maintain equipment: Ensure all neurodiagnostic equipment is properly calibrated and maintained to produce accurate test results.
- Document and report findings: Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients: Communicate with patients about the testing procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Adhere to safety protocols: Follow all safety protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff during testing procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments: Continuously educate oneself on new techniques and advancements in neurodiagnostic testing.
- Maintain patient confidentiality: Adhere to confidentiality policies and procedures to protect the privacy of patients and their medical information.
- Monitor patient comfort: Monitor patient comfort and make adjustments as needed to ensure a positive and comfortable testing experience.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives: Contribute to quality improvement efforts by identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Train and mentor new technicians: Assist in training and mentoring new neurodiagnostic technicians to ensure high-quality care is being provided to patients.
- Provide exceptional patient care: Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and compassion when interacting with patients, providing them with exceptional care and support during the testing process.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Neuroscience, Biology, Or Healthcare Administration
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Neurodiagnostic Tech Ii Or Equivalent
Certification In Eeg, Ep, And/Or Cnim From A Recognized Institution
Strong Knowledge Of Neuroanatomy, Physiology, And Clinical Neurophysiology
Experience With Data Analysis And Interpretation Software, Such As Natus, Cadwell, Or Grass Technologies.
