Job Description

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Neonatology Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our skilled team in the NICU. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of our tiniest patients and their families. This is a full-time position with both day and night shifts available. We are looking for an experienced NNP who is passionate about providing high-quality care to neonates and their families.   1. Provide high-quality care to neonates and their families in the NICU setting.
  2. Collaborate with a skilled team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for neonatal patients.
  3. Monitor and assess the health status of neonates, including vital signs, medication administration, and response to treatment.
  4. Educate and support families on caring for their neonate, including feeding, developmental milestones, and discharge planning.
  5. Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and respond to potential complications or changes in a neonate's condition.
  6. Coordinate and communicate with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
  8. Stay current on best practices and evidence-based research in neonatology.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols.
  10. Provide emotional support and comfort to families during challenging times.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new protocols and procedures.
  12. Serve as a mentor and resource for nursing staff and students.
  13. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and educational opportunities.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Neonatology Or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

  • Current And Unrestricted Rn And Np License In The State Of California

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Neonatal Nurse Practitioner In A Level Iii Nicu

  • Current Certification As A Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (Nnp-Bc) From A Recognized Accrediting Body

  • Bls And Nrp Certifications, With A Strong Understanding Of Neonatal Resuscitation And Emergency Procedures.
