  1. Accurately document patient encounters in real-time, ensuring all relevant information is recorded in the electronic medical record system.
  2. Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all medical terminology and patient information is recorded accurately.
  3. Work closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters.
  4. Keep up-to-date with changes in medical terminology and procedures to ensure accurate documentation.
  5. Handle confidential patient information with discretion and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
  6. Act as a liaison between physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure clear and concise communication.
  7. Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  8. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  9. Utilize excellent communication skills to ensure accurate documentation and effective collaboration with the healthcare team.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
  11. Participate in training and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Medical Scribe At Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Must Have At Least A High School Education To Ensure A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Documentation.

  • Certified Medical Scribe Professional (Cmsp) Certification: Preference May Be Given To Candidates Who Have Completed The Cmsp Certification, Demonstrating A Comprehensive Understanding Of Medical Scribe Duties And Responsibilities.

  • Proficiency In Medical Terminology And Documentation: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Be Able To Accurately Document Patient Encounters In Real-Time.

  • Excellent Computer And Typing Skills: As A Medical Scribe, Candidates Will Be Responsible For Accurately Documenting Patient Encounters In Electronic Medical Records. Therefore, Proficiency In Typing And Computer Skills Is Essential.

  • Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting: While Not Required, Candidates With Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As Working As A Medical Assistant Or Nurse, May Be Preferred As They Will Have A Better Understanding Of Medical Procedures And Terminology.
