Medical Assistant - Reconstructive Surgery

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide exceptional care to our Reconstructive Surgery patients. We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about helping others and who has the drive to make a difference in our patients' lives. The successful candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting and at least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting. Previous experience in reconstructive surgery is a plus. The Medical Assistant will report to the Office Manager and will be responsible for providing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide exceptional patient care to Reconstructive Surgery patients by demonstrating compassion and a commitment to patient satisfaction.
2. Perform medical assistant tasks, such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and assisting with medical procedures and examinations.
3. Maintain patient records, update patient information, and ensure accuracy of all documentation.
4. Prepare and organize medical supplies and equipment for procedures.
5. Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with other medical staff as needed.
6. Prepare patient charts and ensure all necessary information is included.
7. Escort patients to exam and treatment rooms and assist with medical tests.
8. Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing.
9. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and other medical staff.
10. Ensure a clean and orderly work environment is maintained at all times.
