  7. Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and obtaining necessary authorizations for procedures.
  8. Monitor and order supplies, medications, and equipment for the orthopedics department.
  9. Educate patients on post-procedure care and follow-up instructions.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients.
  11. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  12. Continuously assess and improve processes and procedures to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.
  13. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new treatments, and advancements in orthopedics.
  14. Provide support and assistance to other departments and healthcare professionals as needed.
  15. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Certification As A Medical Assistant (Cma) From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program With A Focus On Orthopedics.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In An Orthopedic Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Diagnostic Procedures, And Treatment Protocols Specific To Orthopedics.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Medical Record (Emr) Systems And Ability To Accurately Document Patient Information And Procedures.
