  1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the medical center in a warm and friendly manner.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding their imaging procedures.
  3. Ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow by accurately scheduling appointments and managing patient wait times.
  4. Prepare and maintain patient records, including updating demographic and insurance information.
  5. Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and obtaining any required authorizations for their imaging procedures.
  6. Escort patients to the imaging department and ensure they are comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other medical center staff to ensure proper coordination of patient care.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized imaging department, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked and equipment is functioning properly.
  9. Educate patients on imaging procedures and provide them with pre and post-procedure instructions.
  10. Monitor and address any patient needs or concerns during their imaging procedure, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  11. Adhere to all medical center policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA regulations, to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities to improve patient experiences and provide feedback to management on ways to enhance the patient support process.
  13. Attend and participate in department meetings and trainings to stay updated on new procedures and protocols.
  14. Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely processing of patient payments and insurance claims.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of the medical center and represent the organization in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For This Position Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates Basic Education And Ability To Communicate Effectively.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Clinic, Is Preferred For This Role. This Will Provide A Foundational Understanding Of The Healthcare Industry And Medical Terminology.

  • Familiarity With Imaging Technology: A Strong Understanding Of Imaging Technology, Such As X-Rays, Mris, And Ct Scans, Is Essential For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Equipment Operation, Patient Positioning, And Image Quality.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Imaging Patient Support Specialist, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Medical Staff Is Crucial. This Includes Strong Interpersonal Skills, Active Listening, And The Ability To Remain Calm And Professional In High-Stress Situations.

  • Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills: This Position Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail, As Well As Strong Organizational Skills. The Imaging Patient Support Specialist Must Be Able To Accurately Document Patient Information, Maintain Records, And Manage Multiple Tasks Efficiently.
