  1. Organize and manage patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  2. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all patient information.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain and update patient information.
  4. Maintain electronic health records and keep them up-to-date.
  5. Review medical records for completeness and accuracy.
  6. Identify and address any discrepancies or errors in medical records.
  7. File and store medical records in a secure and organized manner.
  8. Retrieve medical records for patient appointments and referrals.
  9. Assist with coding and billing processes as needed.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
  11. Maintain knowledge of current healthcare laws and regulations.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve processes and ensure efficient record-keeping.
  13. Train and educate other team members on proper medical record management practices.
  14. Continuously seek out ways to improve efficiency and accuracy in record-keeping.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field

  • Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Working With Orthopedic Patient Records In A Healthcare Setting

  • Proficiency In Medical Terminology, Icd-10, And Cpt Coding

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Health Record Systems And Experience With Data Entry And Retrieval
