
Credentialing Coordinator
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is actively searching for a professional and detail-oriented Credentialing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of medical staff applications, in accordance with the standards and requirements of the Joint Commission, National Committee for Quality Assurance, and other applicable regulatory agencies. We are looking for a candidate with excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum 2 years of medical staff credentialing experience in a large acute-care hospital• Knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation standards and requirements, National Committee for Quality Assurance standards, and other applicable regulatory agencies• Proven organizational and customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Review and process medical staff applications in accordance with Joint Commission, National Committee for Quality Assurance, and other applicable regulatory agency standards and requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all credentialing activities and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
- Monitor and update all credentialing information in the medical staff database.
- Remain current on all regulatory changes and ensure compliance with new requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to physicians, nurses, and other medical staff on credentialing-related matters.
- Respond to inquiries from medical staff, regulatory agencies, and other parties in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with external vendors and other stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and presentations as required.
- Coordinate and attend credentialing-related meetings and other events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
