  1. Develop and implement training programs for laboratory staff, ensuring that they are up-to-date with current practices and regulations.
  2. Conduct educational workshops, seminars, and lectures for laboratory employees, covering a variety of topics related to clinical laboratory science.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the laboratory team to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted training programs.
  4. Assess the educational needs of laboratory staff and create personalized development plans to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  5. Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of clinical laboratory science and incorporate this information into training programs.
  6. Create and maintain educational materials, such as manuals, presentations, and online courses, to support the training and development of laboratory staff.
  7. Monitor the progress and performance of laboratory staff during training and provide constructive feedback and support.
  8. Serve as a mentor and resource for laboratory staff, providing guidance and support for their ongoing professional development.
  9. Collaborate with other departments within the medical center to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive training program for laboratory staff.
  10. Stay up-to-date with accreditation and compliance standards for laboratory education and ensure that all training programs meet these requirements.
  11. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to continuously improve their impact.
  12. Participate in recruitment and hiring processes for laboratory staff, ensuring that candidates possess the necessary skills and qualifications.
  13. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages growth, development, and continuous learning for all laboratory staff.
  14. Represent the laboratory in educational forums and conferences, sharing best practices and promoting the success of the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Clinical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience Working As A Clinical Laboratory Scientist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Active Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or Equivalent.

  • Previous Experience Teaching And/Or Developing Curriculum For A Clinical Laboratory Science Program.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Teach And Mentor Students And Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals.
