- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information for patient care.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments in accordance with established protocols.
- Follow established laboratory policies and procedures to ensure quality control and accuracy of test results.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of laboratory tests and results.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise in the laboratory.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Stay up-to-date with current laboratory techniques, technologies, and advancements in the field.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers to provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Train and mentor new laboratory staff and students.
- Proactively identify and report any abnormalities or discrepancies in test results.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Laboratory Manager or Director.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field.
Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Technologist (Mt) Through A Nationally Recognized Agency, Such As Ascp Or Amt.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Core Laboratory.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment, Procedures, And Regulations, Including Clia And Cap.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, As Well As Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Independently.
