  1. Lead and oversee the genomics program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans to advance genomics research and innovation in healthcare.
  3. Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to develop and implement genomics-based projects and initiatives.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in genomics and incorporate them into the program.
  5. Provide leadership and guidance to a team of researchers and staff.
  6. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the genomics program.
  7. Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the integration of genomics into patient care.
  8. Develop and manage budgets and resources for the genomics program.
  9. Represent the genomics program and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at conferences, meetings, and other events.
  10. Collaborate with external partners and organizations to expand the genomics program's reach and impact.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with potential donors and funding sources to support the genomics program.
  12. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical guidelines in genomics research and patient care.
  13. Communicate the genomics program's progress and achievements to stakeholders and the public.

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree In Genomics: A Chief Genomics Officer At Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Should Possess An Advanced Degree (E.g. Md, Phd) In A Relevant Field Such As Genetics, Molecular Biology Or Bioinformatics.

  • Extensive Experience In Genomics Research: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Genomics Research, With A Strong Track Record Of Successful Projects And Publications.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Leader In The Genomics Department, The Chief Genomics Officer Should Have Excellent Management And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Oversee A Team Of Researchers And Collaborate With Other Departments.
