Minimum Of One Year Of Acute Care Nursing Experience: Crnas Typically Have At Least One Year Of Experience Working In A Critical Care Setting, Such As An Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Or Emergency Department.
Master's Degree In Nurse Anesthesia: Crnas Must Hold A Master's Degree From An Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program. This Typically Takes 2-3 Years To Complete.
Certification From The National Board Of Certification And Recertification For Nurse Anesthetists (Nbcrna): Crnas Must Pass A National Certification Exam Administered By The Nbcrna To Practice. They Must Also Maintain Their Certification Through Ongoing Education And Re-Certification Exams.
