
Associate Director, Payroll Design & Controls

- Develop and implement efficient and accurate payroll design and controls strategies for the medical center.
- Oversee and manage a team of payroll specialists, ensuring they are trained and equipped to handle all aspects of payroll design and controls.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Human Resources and Finance, to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and compliance in all payroll operations, including tax reporting, wage and hour laws, and benefit deductions.
- Continuously review and improve payroll processes to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
- Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to payroll design and controls.
- Monitor and analyze payroll data to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
- Create and maintain payroll documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the payroll department and across all departments.
- Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on payroll performance and identify potential areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular training and development opportunities for the payroll team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines related to payroll design and controls.
- Ensure a high level of confidentiality and security in all payroll-related processes and data.
- Respond promptly and professionally to any payroll-related inquiries or concerns from employees or management.
- Represent the medical center in external audits and reviews related to payroll design and controls.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Team And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Departments.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Payroll, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Payroll Processes, Tax Regulations, And Labor Laws.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Implement Process Improvements.
