  1. Develop and implement educational programs for residents and medical students in the field of anesthesiology.
  2. Oversee the recruitment, selection, and evaluation of residents for the anesthesiology residency program.
  3. Collaborate with departmental faculty to create and maintain a comprehensive curriculum for residents.
  4. Coordinate and facilitate lectures, workshops, and other educational activities for residents and medical students.
  5. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the department.
  6. Serve as a mentor and advisor to residents, providing guidance and support throughout their training.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements and best practices in the field of anesthesiology and incorporate them into the educational programs.
  8. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and work towards continuous improvement of the residency program.
  9. Actively participate in departmental meetings and committees, representing the education and residency program.
  10. Collaborate with other departments and institutions to foster educational partnerships and opportunities.
  11. Provide leadership and guidance to residents, faculty, and staff within the department.
  12. Participate in the evaluation and selection of faculty members for the anesthesiology residency program.
  13. Develop and implement strategies to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion within the residency program.
  14. Serve as a liaison between the residency program and other departments, institutions, and accrediting bodies.
  15. Contribute to research efforts within the department and promote a culture of research and scholarship among residents.
  16. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the residency program.
  17. Represent the anesthesiology department and residency program at national and international conferences and meetings.
  18. Collaborate with the departmental leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for the growth and advancement of the anesthesiology residency program.
  19. Serve as an advocate for the department and residency program, promoting their goals and achievements.
  20. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures and promote a culture of excellence, integrity, and ethical conduct.

Job Qualifications
  • Board Certification In Anesthesiology: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Anesthesiology By The American Board Of Anesthesiology (Aba).

  • Extensive Clinical Experience: A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Clinical Experience As An Anesthesiologist, With A Strong Track Record Of Providing High-Quality Patient Care.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: Strong Leadership And Management Skills Are Essential For This Role, As The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Education And Residency Program For Anesthesiology.

  • Teaching Experience: Prior Experience In Teaching And Training Residents And Medical Students Is Required, Preferably In An Academic Medical Center Setting.

  • Research Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Research, With A Track Record Of Publications And Presentations In The Field Of Anesthesiology.
