- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable delivery of materials and components.
- Analyze and evaluate supplier performance to identify areas for improvement and cost savings opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify product requirements and specifications for procurement.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with suppliers to maintain optimal levels.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the procurement process to ensure it aligns with company goals and objectives.
- Stay updated on market trends and industry best practices to make informed decisions about suppliers and materials.
- Participate in new product development and provide input on supply chain feasibility.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procurement activities and provide regular reports to management.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues or delays in the procurement process.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Train and mentor junior procurement team members.
- Keep up-to-date with technological advancements and implement new tools and processes to improve procurement efficiency.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or Related Field
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Procurement Or Supply Chain Management
Knowledge Of Manufacturing Processes And Materials Used In Heavy Equipment Industry
Strong Negotiation And Communication Skills
