  1. Develop innovative packaging solutions that meet the needs of Caterpillar's diverse product lines.
  2. Utilize technical skills to design and implement packaging solutions that are cost-effective and efficient.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify packaging needs and requirements.
  4. Research and evaluate new packaging materials and technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability.
  5. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards for packaging.
  6. Continuously evaluate and improve existing packaging processes and designs.
  7. Conduct testing and analysis to ensure packaging meets quality and performance standards.
  8. Create detailed packaging specifications and documentation.
  9. Provide technical support and guidance to other departments, including manufacturing and supply chain.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in packaging technology.
  11. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of packaging solutions.
  12. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  13. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to packaging design and development.
  14. Train and mentor junior packaging engineers as needed.
  15. Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous improvement and contribute to a culture of innovation within the packaging team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Packaging Engineering Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Packaging Design And Development.

  • Proficiency In Cad Software And Other Packaging Design Tools.

  • Strong Understanding Of Packaging Materials, Sustainability, And Cost Optimization.

  • Experience Working In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting, Preferably In The Heavy Equipment Industry.
