  1. Conduct biophysical characterization experiments and analyses to support drug development projects.
  2. Utilize a variety of biophysical techniques, such as mass spectrometry, chromatography, and spectroscopy, to characterize drug molecules and their interactions.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments and contribute to project planning and decision-making.
  4. Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize methods to improve data quality and efficiency.
  5. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  6. Prepare and present scientific data and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and implement new techniques to enhance biophysical characterization capabilities.
  8. Contribute to the development and validation of new assays and methods.
  9. Manage and analyze large datasets using software tools and statistical methods.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and provide guidance and support to junior scientists.
  11. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures.
  12. Collaborate with external partners and actively participate in scientific conferences and publications to enhance the company's reputation and visibility in the industry.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Biophysics Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Biophysics, Biochemistry, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Scientist Position At Catalent. This Advanced Education Provides The Necessary Theoretical And Practical Knowledge To Excel In The Role.

  • Experience With Biophysical Characterization Techniques: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have Hands-On Experience With A Variety Of Biophysical Characterization Techniques, Such As Dynamic Light Scattering (Dls), Surface Plasmon Resonance (Spr), And Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (Itc). This Experience Demonstrates A Strong Understanding Of The Principles And Applications Of These Techniques.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Industry Regulations: Catalent Is A Leading Provider Of Drug Development And Delivery Solutions, And As Such, The Company Adheres To Strict Regulations Set By The Pharmaceutical Industry. A Qualified Scientist Should Have A Solid Understanding Of These Regulations, Including Fda Guidelines And Current Good Manufacturing Practices (Cgmp).

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Key Responsibility Of A Scientist At Catalent Is To Analyze And Interpret Complex Data From Biophysical Characterization Experiments. Therefore, Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills Are Essential For This Role. The Ability To Troubleshoot And Identify Potential Issues With Experimental Results Is Also Highly Valued.
