Job Description

Catalent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Utilities Technician to join our dynamic team. As the Lead Utilities Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our utilities systems. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for problem-solving.   1. Oversee the maintenance and operation of all utilities systems, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and water systems.
  2. Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to ensure the reliability and longevity of utilities equipment.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair any issues with utilities systems in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Train and supervise a team of technicians to ensure proper maintenance and operation of utilities systems.
  5. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure utilities systems are meeting the needs of the organization.
  7. Monitor and analyze utility usage data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades.
  9. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in utilities technology to make informed recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
  10. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the utilities department.
  11. Communicate effectively with management and other team members to provide updates on maintenance activities and any issues or concerns.
  12. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to safety, quality, and compliance.
  13. Participate in emergency response and crisis management activities as needed.
  14. Collaborate with external vendors and contractors as necessary.
  15. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Utility Systems: The Ideal Candidate For A Lead Utilities Technician Role At Catalent Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Utility Systems, Including But Not Limited To Hvac, Cleanrooms, Compressed Air, And Purified Water Systems. This Knowledge Should Extend To Troubleshooting, Maintenance, And Repair Of These Systems.

  • Technical Expertise: A Lead Utilities Technician Should Have A Solid Technical Background And Be Well-Versed In The Operation And Maintenance Of Various Equipment And Tools Used In Utilities Systems. This Includes A Working Knowledge Of Electrical, Mechanical, And Plumbing Systems.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Lead Technician, The Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing And Leading A Team Of Technicians. They Should Possess Strong Communication Skills, Be Able To Delegate Tasks Effectively, And Provide Guidance And Training To Team Members When Needed.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: In A Fast-Paced Manufacturing Environment, Unexpected Issues Can Arise With Utility Systems. The Lead Utilities Technician Should Be Able To Think Quickly And Come Up With Effective Solutions To Minimize Downtime And Ensure The Smooth Operation Of All Utility Systems.

  • Safety And Compliance: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Regulations Related To Utility Systems, And Ensure Compliance With All Applicable Standards. Experience With Osha And Fda Regulations Is Highly Preferred.
