- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations and assessments for students with hearing impairments, providing accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students, utilizing evidence-based practices and state-of-the-art technology.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and speech-language pathologists, to provide comprehensive care for students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on hearing loss, hearing conservation, and communication strategies.
- Stay current with advancements in audiology research, technology, and practices, and integrate new knowledge into clinical practice.
- Participate in outreach and community engagement activities to promote audiology services and raise awareness of hearing health.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of audiology programs and initiatives at CSUN.
- Assist in the training and supervision of audiology students and support staff.
- Adhere to all university policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and professional guidelines, in the provision of audiology services.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor, representing CSUN and the audiology department in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Collaborate with other staff and departments to ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of audiology services at CSUN through participation in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Continuously develop and enhance professional skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.
Master's Degree In Audiology Or Doctor Of Audiology (Au.d.) From An Accredited University.
Current State License Or Eligibility For Licensure In California.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Audiology, Preferably In A University Or Academic Setting.
Knowledge Of A Wide Range Of Audiological Assessments And Treatment Methods, Including Experience With Hearing Aids, Cochlear Implants, And Assistive Listening Devices.
Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Population Of Students, Faculty, And Staff.
