- Develop and maintain relationships with international students and their families to provide support throughout their academic journey.
- Conduct outreach efforts to increase international student enrollment and promote the university's programs and services to prospective students.
- Assist international students with the admissions process, including reviewing applications, verifying academic credentials, and providing guidance on visa requirements.
- Serve as a resource for international students, providing information and guidance on academic and non-academic matters such as course registration, housing, and cultural adjustment.
- Collaborate with various departments on campus to develop and implement programs and services that address the unique needs of international students.
- Stay updated on international education trends, policies, and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to students.
- Plan and coordinate orientation programs and events for international students to help them acclimate to campus life and connect with their peers.
- Maintain accurate records and data related to international student enrollment, retention, and success rates.
- Participate in recruitment and outreach activities, such as college fairs and school visits, to attract a diverse pool of international students.
- Serve as a liaison between the university and international education organizations, agencies, and embassies.
- Provide counseling and support services to international students experiencing academic, personal, or cultural challenges.
- Collaborate with other counselors and advisors to develop and deliver workshops and presentations on topics related to international education and cross-cultural communication.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when handling sensitive information related to international students.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of international student programs and services by collecting and analyzing data and student feedback.
- Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of international student support services and make recommendations for improvement.
Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Counseling, International Studies, Or A Related Field.
Fluency In At Least One Foreign Language And Familiarity With Diverse Cultural Backgrounds.
Experience Working With International Students Or In A Cross-Cultural Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Students, Faculty, And Staff From Diverse Backgrounds.
Knowledge Of Counseling Theories And Techniques, As Well As Experience In Providing Individual And Group Counseling.
