
Customer Service Worker-Usher/Backstage (Continuous)

In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and assistance to patrons attending events at our university's performing arts center. - Greet and welcome patrons attending events at the university's performing arts center.
- Ensure that all guests have a positive and enjoyable experience during their visit.
- Provide information and assistance to guests regarding seating, event details, and other inquiries.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while interacting with guests.
- Handle ticket sales, exchanges, and refunds accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor and direct guests to their designated seats and assist with any seating issues.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for guests.
- Assist with crowd control and ensure a safe and orderly environment during events.
- Act as a liaison between guests and performers, providing backstage assistance as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized lobby and seating area before, during, and after events.
- Address any guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Follow all safety and security protocols to protect the well-being of guests and staff.
- Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date on event details and policies.
- Be knowledgeable about the university and its performing arts center to provide accurate information to guests.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
Excellent Communication Skills: A Customer Service Worker-Usher/Backstage Must Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patrons, Performers, And Other Staff Members.
Knowledge Of Event Operations And Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of Event Operations, Including Ticketing, Seating Arrangements, And Emergency Procedures, To Ensure A Smooth And Safe Experience For All Attendees.
Customer Service Experience: Previous Experience In A Customer Service Role Is Essential For This Position. Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Providing Exceptional Customer Service And Handling Difficult Situations With Professionalism And Grace.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Working In A Theater Or Event Venue Can Be Fast-Paced And Hectic, Especially During Peak Performance Times. Candidates Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Remain Calm Under Pressure.
Flexibility And Availability: This Is A Continuous Position, Meaning That Candidates Must Be Available To Work Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays As Scheduled. Flexibility And The Ability To Adapt To Changing Schedules Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
