- Lead the design process for all digital products at BuzzFeed Island, from conception to launch.
- Develop and maintain a strong vision for the future of our digital products, aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and content creators to bring innovative ideas to life.
- Provide creative direction and guidance to the design team, ensuring high-quality and cohesive designs are delivered.
- Conduct research and gather insights to inform design decisions and improve user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and incorporate them into the design process.
- Create and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all products.
- Lead and facilitate design reviews and present design solutions to stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop junior designers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the design process, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all products.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project deadlines.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for BuzzFeed Island, promoting our values and mission through your work.
- Participate in user testing and feedback sessions to gather insights and iterate on designs.
- Continuously gather and analyze data to measure the success and impact of product designs, and make data-driven decisions for future iterations.
Strong Design Portfolio Showcasing A Diverse Range Of Projects And Styles, Including Experience With Digital And Interactive Design.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Design Leadership Role, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Mentoring A Team.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Design Principles, User Experience, And User Interface Design, With A Keen Eye For Aesthetics And Attention To Detail.
Proven Experience In Developing And Executing Product Design Strategies, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of The Product Development Cycle.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Work Cross-Functionally And Present Design Concepts To Stakeholders At All Levels.
