Pattern Maker
Create patterns, and mock-ups from preliminary design sketches or ideas. Ensure the Buck Mason's standards for high quality, fit, function are all met in pattern making creations. Collaborate with our Product Developers and Design to communicate fit updates to factories. Measure patterns and samples for accuracy. Active participation in fittings, pinning garments on body and form; adjust pattern as needed. Act as a technical expert and mentor others to efficiently interpret design intent. Leverages internal and external resources, and demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects and assignments. Ensures feasibility of design's fit intent, and collaborate with cross functional teams on calendar adherence.
10+ years experience in pattern crafting, knowledge of vintage inspired product and make is preferable.
Extensive knowledge of woven outerwear, casual jackets and bottoms, pattern making is required.
Thorough knowledge of sewing and construction.
Experienced in working with manufacturers on pattern changes to influence or achieve target fit.
