
Security Governance & Assurance Specialist
At BT Group, we’re looking for a passionate and motivated Security Governance & Assurance Specialist to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is eager to innovate and help us in our mission to ensure that we have a secure and compliant environment while also helping us to develop and implement effective security governance and assurance processes.The ideal candidate for this role will have a degree in IT Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field, as well as at least five years of experience working in security governance and assurance. They should also be knowledgeable in security best practices and applicable regulations and standards. The successful candidate should have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective security governance and assurance processes.
- Ensure the organisation complies with applicable regulations and standards.
- Monitor and assess security systems for vulnerabilities and ensure that they remain secure.
- Monitor and review security incidents to determine potential areas for improvement.
- Provide advice and guidance on security best practices to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Train staff on security governance and assurance processes and ensure compliance.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in security governance and assurance.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure that security processes are implemented and followed.
- Create and maintain detailed security reports and documentation.
- Respond promptly to security incidents and provide support as needed.
