  1. Provide individual counseling services to students in a university setting.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with students to foster a supportive and trusting environment.

  10. Participate in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance counseling skills.
  11. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of counseling practice.
  12. Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for students of all backgrounds and identities.
  13. Collaborate with campus resources and departments to address systemic issues that may impact students' mental health.
  14. Serve as an advocate for students' mental health needs within the university community.
  15. Contribute to creating a positive and supportive campus culture that prioritizes mental health and well-being.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Or Related Field.

  • Licensure As A Mental Health Counselor In The State Of Rhode Island.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Providing Counseling Services To Diverse Populations.

  • Knowledge And Experience In Evidence-Based Counseling Practices, Such As Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy And Mindfulness-Based Therapy.

  • Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Crisis Intervention Services As Needed.
