  1. Design and implement complex network solutions to support the academic and administrative needs of the university.
  2. Lead and manage a team of network engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure the successful execution of projects and daily tasks.
  3. Stay current with emerging network technologies and make recommendations for their implementation in the university’s network infrastructure.
  4. Develop and maintain network security protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of university data.
  5. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous availability for users.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and teams to understand their network needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  8. Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and policies.
  9. Monitor network traffic and performance, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to all users of the university network, promptly addressing and resolving any network-related concerns or requests.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and external partners to ensure the university has access to the latest technologies and support.
  12. Develop and manage the network budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve the network infrastructure, processes, and procedures to meet the changing needs of the university.
  14. Adhere to industry best practices and university policies and procedures in all network-related activities.
  15. Represent the university at conferences and events related to network engineering and share knowledge and insights with the wider community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Network Engineering And Operations

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Network Protocols, Routing, And Switching Technologies

  • Strong Understanding Of Network Security Best Practices And Experience Implementing Them In An Enterprise Environment

  • Experience Managing And Leading A Team Of Network Engineers And Technicians.
