  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems across the Brown University campus.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  3. Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for all HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  4. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the Facilities Management team to ensure all systems are functioning properly.
  6. Remain up-to-date on industry trends and best practices for HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repair.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance and repairs.
  8. Communicate effectively with university staff and faculty regarding any issues or repairs that may affect their work or living spaces.
  9. Identify and recommend improvements or upgrades to existing HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  10. Train and mentor junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.
  11. Maintain inventory of parts and supplies necessary for HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repairs.
  12. Respond to emergency repair requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  13. Adhere to departmental and university policies and procedures.
  14. Represent Brown University in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  15. Continuously strive for excellence in all aspects of the job and contribute to the overall success of the Facilities Management team.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working As A Hvac Refrigeration Mechanic In A Commercial Or Institutional Setting.

  • Possess A Valid Refrigeration Technician Certification From A Recognized Institution Or Organization.

  • In-Depth Knowledge And Understanding Of Hvac Systems, Refrigeration Equipment, And Related Tools And Technology.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, And Technical Manuals.

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Issues In A Timely And Efficient Manner.
