
Director of Human Resources, Dining Services

- Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures for the Dining Services department in accordance with university guidelines and best practices.
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for all employees in the Dining Services department.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct regular training and development programs to enhance employee skills and promote a positive work culture.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to employment, including equal employment opportunity and diversity.
- Collaborate with department leaders to develop and maintain a competitive compensation and benefits package.
- Manage employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Monitor and analyze employee satisfaction and turnover rates, and implement strategies to improve retention and overall employee satisfaction.
- Serve as a resource for employees, providing guidance and assistance with HR-related inquiries and issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in human resources to continuously improve and enhance the department's processes and procedures.
- Prepare and present HR reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive relationship with other departments to ensure a cohesive and efficient working environment.
- Lead and manage a team of HR professionals to effectively support the needs of the Dining Services department.
- Represent the university and the Dining Services department in external HR-related events and organizations.
- Uphold the university's values and mission in all HR-related decisions and actions.
A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Human Resources And/Or Dining Services Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management Or A Related Field.
Strong Leadership Skills With Experience Managing And Mentoring A Team, As Well As Overseeing Multiple Projects And Initiatives.
Extensive Knowledge Of Federal And State Employment Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices Related To Human Resources And Dining Services.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Students, Faculty, Staff, And External Vendors.
