- Ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff by patrolling campus grounds and responding to any potential threats or emergencies.
- Enforce campus policies and regulations, as well as federal and state laws, to maintain a safe and orderly environment for all members of the community.
- Conduct thorough investigations of any reported crimes or incidents and document all findings in a timely and accurate manner.
- Build strong relationships with members of the community by providing excellent customer service and promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with other campus departments and local law enforcement agencies to address security concerns and develop effective safety protocols.
- Attend and participate in regular trainings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and procedures for campus policing.
- Maintain and operate campus security equipment, such as surveillance cameras and emergency call boxes, to ensure their effectiveness.
- Serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff by providing safety tips and information on emergency procedures.
- Respond to and assist with medical emergencies, directing individuals to appropriate resources as needed.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism and ethical behavior, demonstrating a commitment to upholding the values of Brown University.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Equivalent.
Completion Of A Certified Police Academy Program.
Valid State Driver's License And Clean Driving Record.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Law Enforcement Or Security.
Ability To Pass A Background Check And Drug Screening.
