  1. Ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff by patrolling campus grounds and responding to any potential threats or emergencies.
  2. Enforce campus policies and regulations, as well as federal and state laws, to maintain a safe and orderly environment for all members of the community.
  3. Conduct thorough investigations of any reported crimes or incidents and document all findings in a timely and accurate manner.
  4. Build strong relationships with members of the community by providing excellent customer service and promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  5. Collaborate with other campus departments and local law enforcement agencies to address security concerns and develop effective safety protocols.
  6. Attend and participate in regular trainings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and procedures for campus policing.
  7. Maintain and operate campus security equipment, such as surveillance cameras and emergency call boxes, to ensure their effectiveness.
  8. Serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff by providing safety tips and information on emergency procedures.
  9. Respond to and assist with medical emergencies, directing individuals to appropriate resources as needed.
  10. Serve as a role model for professionalism and ethical behavior, demonstrating a commitment to upholding the values of Brown University.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Equivalent.

  • Completion Of A Certified Police Academy Program.

  • Valid State Driver's License And Clean Driving Record.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Law Enforcement Or Security.

  • Ability To Pass A Background Check And Drug Screening.
