As a Statistician, you will play a crucial role in capturing and analyzing data to support our athletic programs.   1. Collect and record accurate and detailed statistics for all athletic events and games.
  2. Utilize statistical software and tools to analyze data and identify trends and patterns.
  3. Work closely with coaches and team managers to provide timely and accurate statistical reports.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the athletic department to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  5. Stay up-to-date on rules and regulations of various sports to ensure accurate data collection.
  6. Create and maintain databases to track and store statistical information.
  7. Develop reports and visual aids to present data in a clear and concise manner.
  8. Provide analysis and insights to coaches and team managers to inform decision-making and strategy.
  9. Assist in the preparation of pre and post-game analysis for coaches and players.
  10. Attend and record statistics at athletic events, both home and away, as required.
  11. Communicate with external organizations and conferences to ensure data is accurately reported.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve statistical methods and procedures.
  13. Train and supervise student assistants in data collection and entry.
  14. Adhere to NCAA and conference rules and regulations regarding data collection and reporting.
  15. Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and communications, to utilize statistical data for promotional purposes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Statistics, Mathematics, Or A Related Field.

  • Previous Experience Working As A Statistician In The Field Of Athletics, Preferably At The Collegiate Level.

  • Proficiency In Statistical Software Programs Such As R, Sas, Or Spss.

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Interpret And Communicate Complex Statistical Data.

  • A Demonstrated Understanding Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations Related To Statistics And Data Tracking In Athletics.
