Brown University Athletics is seeking a Public Address Announcer to join our team and bring excitement and energy to our sporting events. As the voice of our athletic programs, you will play a crucial role in creating an unforgettable experience for our fans and athletes. If you have a love for sports and a strong set of vocal cords, then we want to hear from you!

  1. Serve as the primary Public Address Announcer for all Brown University athletic events.
  2. Use a dynamic and engaging voice to announce player names, game updates, and promotional messages.
  3. Create an exciting and energetic atmosphere for fans and athletes alike.
  4. Work closely with game officials and other staff to ensure accurate and timely announcements.
  5. Maintain a deep understanding of each sport and its rules to accurately announce plays and provide insightful commentary.
  6. Keep up-to-date with team rosters, player stats, and other relevant information to provide accurate and engaging commentary.
  7. Collaborate with marketing and promotions teams to ensure seamless integration of sponsor messages and promotions during events.
  8. Act as a positive representative of Brown University Athletics and uphold the values and standards of the organization.
  9. Attend all necessary training and meetings to stay up-to-date with announcements, procedures, and game schedules.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to fans and guests, responding to any inquiries or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  11. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing Brown University Athletics.
  12. Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures during events.
  13. Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment and materials before and after events.
  14. Be open to feedback and continuously strive to improve performance as the voice of Brown University Athletics.
  15. Adhere to the schedule and availability requirements for all scheduled games and events.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Broadcasting, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Public Address Announcer At A Collegiate Or Professional Level.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations, As Well As Familiarity With Brown University's Athletic Programs.

  • Excellent Communication And Public Speaking Skills, With The Ability To Engage And Energize A Live Audience.

  • Proficiency In Audio Equipment And Software, Including Sound Mixing And Editing, To Ensure Clear And High-Quality Announcements.
