- Oversee and manage all aspects of research initiatives, including grant proposals, budget management, project timelines, and reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to support and promote academic excellence in research at Brown University.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify funding opportunities and assist in the development of research proposals.
- Provide guidance and support to researchers in navigating grant application processes and ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements.
- Manage program budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Serve as a liaison between the university and external funding agencies, fostering positive relationships and advocating for the university's research initiatives.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to research administration, ensuring compliance with university, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate and lead meetings and workshops related to research and program management.
- Supervise and mentor staff members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Conduct regular evaluations of research programs and make recommendations for improvement and growth.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in research administration, and make recommendations for their implementation at Brown University.
- Collaborate with other departments and offices within the university to promote interdisciplinary research collaborations.
- Represent the university at conferences and events related to research administration.
- Act as a resource and provide guidance to faculty, staff, and students on research policies, procedures, and compliance.
- Handle any other duties or projects as assigned by the Director of Research and Program Management.
Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Public Health, Social Sciences, Or Education.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience Managing Research Projects And Programs, Preferably In An Academic Or Nonprofit Setting.
Demonstrated Expertise In Research Design, Data Analysis, And Program Evaluation.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team, Collaborate With Stakeholders, And Present Findings To Diverse Audiences.
Knowledge Of Regulatory And Compliance Requirements Related To Research, Including Irb Protocols And Grant Funding Guidelines.
