Job Description

  1. Design and develop control systems for our manufacturing facilities.
  2. Implement and maintain control systems to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  3. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  4. Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with control systems.
  5. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to source and implement new control technology.
  6. Continuously monitor and analyze control system performance and make recommendations for enhancements.
  7. Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for control systems.
  8. Stay updated on industry developments and trends in control engineering to drive innovation.
  9. Train and mentor junior engineers in control system design and implementation.
  10. Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines in the design and implementation of control systems.
  11. Contribute to cost-saving initiatives by optimizing control systems and processes.
  12. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as needed.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management on project status and updates.
  14. Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure timely and successful completion.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in control systems.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Or Mechanical Engineering: A Strong Educational Background In Engineering Is Essential For An Engineer Controls Engineering Role At British American Tobacco. A Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Or Mechanical Engineering Provides A Solid Foundation In The Core Principles And Concepts Of Engineering.

  • Proficiency In Control Systems Design And Implementation: As An Engineer Controls Engineering, It Is Crucial To Have A Deep Understanding Of Control Systems Design And Implementation. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Control Systems, Such As Pid, Plc, And Dcs, As Well As Experience In Programming And Troubleshooting These Systems.

  • Experience In Tobacco Or Fmcg Industry: British American Tobacco Is A Leading Tobacco Company, And Having Experience In The Tobacco Or Fmcg Industry Is Highly Preferred For This Role. Familiarity With The Specific Processes And Machinery Used In These Industries Can Give A Candidate An Advantage In Their Application.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: An Engineer Controls Engineering Must Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Resolve Complex Issues In Control Systems. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Data, Troubleshoot Problems, And Propose Effective Solutions.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In Any Engineering Role, And It Is Especially Important In A Multinational Company Like British American Tobacco.
