In this role, you will play a critical role in sourcing and developing sustainable aviation fuel solutions for our airline, helping us to meet our ambitious sustainability goals.   1. Research and analyze sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) market trends and technologies to identify potential suppliers and partners for British Airways.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with SAF suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing for the procurement of sustainable aviation fuel.
  3. Monitor and track SAF supply and demand, identifying potential risks and opportunities in the market.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including fuel procurement and sustainability teams, to develop and implement strategies for integrating SAF into British Airways' operations.
  5. Conduct cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies to evaluate the financial and environmental impact of SAF usage for the airline.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and policies related to sustainable aviation fuel, ensuring compliance and identifying potential areas for improvement.
  7. Act as a subject matter expert on sustainable aviation fuel, providing guidance and support to other departments within British Airways.
  8. Prepare and present reports and presentations on SAF usage and impact to senior management and external stakeholders.
  9. Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for innovation and improvement in the sourcing and usage of sustainable aviation fuel.
  10. Collaborate with external organizations and industry partners to drive progress towards a more sustainable aviation industry.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Sustainable Aviation Fuel Production And Supply Chain: The Saf Originator Analyst Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Various Processes Involved In Making Sustainable Aviation Fuel, As Well As The Logistics And Regulations Surrounding Its Production And Distribution.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Analyze Complex Data And Market Trends To Identify Potential Opportunities For Sourcing Sustainable Aviation Fuel. The Saf Originator Analyst Should Also Be Able To Use This Data To Develop Strategies For Maximizing The Use Of Sustainable Aviation Fuel Within British Airways.

  • Experience In Project Management: As British Airways Continues To Invest In Sustainable Aviation Fuel Initiatives, The Saf Originator Analyst Will Be Responsible For Managing And Overseeing Various Projects Related To Sourcing And Using This Fuel. Therefore, Experience In Project Management Is A Crucial Qualification For This Role.

  • Understanding Of Carbon Reduction Strategies: The Saf Originator Analyst Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Carbon Reduction Strategies And Initiatives Within The Aviation Industry. This Includes Knowledge Of Carbon Offsetting, Emissions Trading, And Other Mechanisms For Reducing The Carbon Footprint Of Airlines.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: Collaboration And Communication Are Key In This Role, As The Saf Originator Analyst Will Need To Work Closely With Various Teams Within British Airways, As Well As External Stakeholders, To Drive Sustainable Aviation Fuel Initiatives Forward. Therefore, Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential Qualifications For This Position.
