  1. Develop and implement secure coding practices and standards for the software development team.
  2. Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and address potential risks.
  3. Collaborate with the development team to integrate security measures into the software development process.
  4. Monitor and analyze system logs to identify and mitigate security breaches.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats to ensure the continuous improvement of our DevSecOps practices.
  6. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve security issues.
  7. Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  8. Conduct training and workshops for the development team to raise awareness and knowledge of secure coding practices.
  9. Participate in code reviews to identify and fix potential security vulnerabilities.
  10. Continuously monitor and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our DevSecOps processes.
  11. Collaborate with external security teams and vendors to enhance our security posture.
  12. Act as a subject matter expert on DevSecOps for the organization and provide guidance and support to other teams.
  13. Communicate security risks and issues to relevant stakeholders and propose solutions to mitigate them.
  14. Participate in incident response and management in the event of a security breach.
  15. Take ownership of security-related projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Job Qualifications

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Devops Practices: A Devsecops Specialist At British Airways Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Devops Principles And Practices, Including Continuous Integration And Delivery, Infrastructure Configuration Management, And Automated Testing.

  • Expertise In Security Tools And Techniques: The Candidate Should Possess Advanced Knowledge Of Security Tools And Techniques Used In Devsecops, Such As Vulnerability Scanning, Penetration Testing, Security Code Analysis, And Threat Modeling.

  • Strong Programming And Scripting Skills: A Devsecops Specialist Should Be Proficient In Programming Languages Like Python, Java, And Powershell, As Well As Scripting Languages Like Bash And Perl, To Automate Security Processes And Tasks.

  • Experience With Cloud Technologies: British Airways Uses A Variety Of Cloud Technologies, Including Aws, Azure, And Google Cloud Platform. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience With These Platforms And Be Able To Implement Security Best Practices In A Cloud Environment.

  • Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations: The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Information Security, Such As Gdpr And Pci Dss. Knowledge Of Compliance Frameworks Like Nist And Iso 27001 Is Also Desirable.
