As a subsidiary of British Airways, BA Cityflyer operates a network of short-haul flights from London City Airport, providing our customers with a seamless and convenient travel experience. As a Logistics Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our flights, working closely with our ground handling partners and other departments within the company.   1. Oversee and manage the logistics operations for BA Cityflyer flights, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
  2. Collaborate with ground handling partners and other departments to coordinate and execute logistics plans.
  3. Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of logistics, including inventory management, transportation, and distribution.
  4. Monitor and analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to streamline processes.
  5. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements related to logistics operations.
  6. Act as a point of contact for any logistics-related issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize disruptions to flight operations.
  7. Train and supervise logistics staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and professional development.
  8. Communicate effectively with other departments within British Airways to ensure smooth coordination and integration of logistics operations.
  9. Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  10. Maintain a customer-centric approach, always striving to deliver exceptional service to our passengers.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in logistics technology to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
  12. Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services for logistics operations.
  13. Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance to senior management.
  14. Take on additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by the company.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Logistics Or Supply Chain Management, Preferably In The Airline Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Air Freight Operations And Regulations, Including Iata And Faa Requirements.

  • Excellent Organizational And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Under Pressure And Prioritize Tasks.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Including The Ability To Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And External Partners.
