  • Lead the development and implementation of biomarker strategies for oncology drug programs at Bristol-Myers Squibb
  • Utilize your expertise in biomarker development to identify and validate potential biomarkers for use in clinical trials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including translational medicine, clinical development, and biostatistics to design and execute biomarker studies
  • Stay up-to-date on current research and technologies in the field of oncology and biomarkers to inform decision-making and strategy development
  • Conduct data analysis and interpretation of biomarker data to inform drug development and clinical trial design
  • Present biomarker data and strategies to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory agencies
  • Manage external collaborations and partnerships related to biomarker research and development
  • Mentor and guide junior scientists in the biomarker team and contribute to their professional development
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines in biomarker research and development
  • Continuously seek to improve and innovate biomarker strategies and processes within the oncology division at Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Oncology Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Phd In A Relevant Field, Such As Biology, Biochemistry, Or Pharmacology, Is Required For This Role. A Strong Background In Oncology Research Is Critical For Understanding And Developing Clinical Biomarkers In This Field.

  • Extensive Experience In Biomarker Discovery And Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Biomarker Discovery And Development, With A Focus On Oncology. This Includes Experience In Identifying And Validating Biomarkers, As Well As Designing And Implementing Biomarker Assays.

  • Knowledge Of Clinical Trial Design And Execution: This Role Requires A Deep Understanding Of Clinical Trial Design And Execution, Particularly In The Oncology Space. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Biomarker Strategies In Clinical Trials, As Well As Analyzing And Interpreting Biomarker Data.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Senior Principal Scientist, This Role Will Involve Leading And Managing A Team Of Scientists And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams. Therefore, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Concepts To Diverse Audiences.

  • Track Record Of Publications And Presentations: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Track Record Of Publications And Presentations In The Field Of Oncology And Biomarker Research. This Demonstrates A High Level Of Expertise And Credibility In The Scientific Community.
