This role will support our growing Intellectual Property department and contribute to the protection of our innovative products and technologies.   1. Conduct thorough research and analysis of patent and trademark laws to ensure compliance with regulations and deadlines.
  2. Assist in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent and trademark applications.
  3. Manage and maintain a large portfolio of intellectual property assets, including organizing and updating databases and files.
  4. Communicate effectively with inventors, attorneys, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide updates on patent and trademark matters.
  5. Conduct prior art searches and assist with patentability assessments.
  6. Review and analyze patent and trademark office actions and prepare responses as needed.
  7. Coordinate with outside counsel and foreign agents on global patent and trademark matters.
  8. Assist with the drafting and filing of legal documents, including responses, declarations, and assignments.
  9. Conduct trademark clearance searches and assist with trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings.
  10. Monitor and track patent and trademark deadlines and maintain a docketing system to ensure timely filings.
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and launch of new products.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in patent and trademark laws to provide insights and recommendations to the IP department.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  14. Contribute to the continuous improvement of IP processes and procedures.
  15. Train and mentor junior paralegals on IP-related tasks and responsibilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Paralegal, Preferably In The Intellectual Property Field.

  • Familiarity With Us And International Patent And Trademark Laws And Regulations.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Legal Concepts To Non-Legal Professionals.
