  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive crisis and issues communication strategy for Bristol-Myers Squibb to safeguard the company's reputation and maintain stakeholder trust.
  2. Lead and manage all aspects of crisis and issues communication, including risk assessment, message development, and communication channel selection.
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact and spokesperson for the company during potential crises and sensitive issues, ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent communication.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs, to provide strategic counsel and support in managing potential crises and sensitive issues.
  5. Monitor and analyze media and social media trends to proactively identify potential issues and develop appropriate response strategies.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, industry organizations, and patient advocacy groups, to effectively communicate the company's position during potential crises.
  7. Prepare and train company executives and spokespeople on crisis and issues communication protocols and procedures.
  8. Create and maintain crisis communication tools, such as messaging documents, Q&A documents, and crisis communication plans, to ensure consistency and accuracy in messaging during potential crises.
  9. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic counsel and recommendations on communication strategies to mitigate potential risks and protect the company's reputation.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve the company's crisis and issues communication processes and procedures to ensure they align with best practices and industry standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 7 Years Of Experience In Crisis And Issues Management, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Or Healthcare Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of The Global Regulatory Landscape And Ability To Navigate Complex Regulatory Environments.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With Experience In Crafting Messaging For Various Stakeholders (E.g. Media, Employees, Investors).

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing High-Stakes Crises And Issues, With The Ability To Remain Calm Under Pressure And Make Sound Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment.
