- Develop and implement strategies to improve the reliability and maintenance of BP's assets.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans to ensure safe and efficient operation of assets.
- Lead and manage a team of reliability engineers to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement in reliability and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize asset performance and minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain maintenance and reliability standards and procedures.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of equipment failures.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in maintenance and reliability processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies in reliability and asset management.
- Communicate and report on reliability and maintenance performance to senior management and stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance and operations teams.
- Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and innovation within the reliability engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and company standards.
- Mentor and coach junior reliability engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in project planning and provide input on reliability and maintainability requirements for new assets.
Extensive Experience In Reliability Engineering: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Reliability Engineering, Preferably In The Oil And Gas Industry. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Reliability Principles, Tools, And Techniques.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Equipment And Systems: A Principal Reliability Engineer At Bp Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Equipment And Systems Used In The Oil And Gas Industry, Such As Pumps, Compressors, Turbines, And Pipelines. They Should Also Have A Good Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations.
Demonstrated Leadership Skills: The Candidate Should Have Experience Leading A Team Of Reliability Engineers And Driving A Culture Of Reliability Excellence. They Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Using Analytical Tools And Techniques To Identify And Solve Complex Reliability Issues. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Predictive Maintenance Programs.
Proficiency In Data Analysis And Reliability Software: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Data Analysis And Be Proficient In Reliability Software Such As Sap, Maximo, Or Meridium. They Should Also Have Experience In Using Advanced Statistical Tools For Reliability Analysis And Reporting.
