Job Description

  1. Develop and implement maintenance plans and procedures for all plant equipment and processes.
  2. Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness by creating and maintaining detailed maintenance schedules.
  3. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities.
  4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment maintenance histories and work orders.
  5. Identify and recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and ensure necessary spare parts and materials are available for maintenance activities.
  7. Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
  8. Work closely with vendors and contractors to schedule and coordinate maintenance services.
  9. Keep abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements to continuously improve maintenance processes.
  10. Train and mentor maintenance staff on proper maintenance procedures and techniques.
  11. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols during maintenance activities.
  12. Communicate regularly with management and other departments to provide updates on maintenance activities and progress.
  13. Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for maintenance activities.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized maintenance department to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
  15. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and actively seek out opportunities to optimize maintenance processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Technical Knowledge: A Maintenance Planner At Bp Should Possess A Solid Understanding Of Mechanical, Electrical, And Instrumentation Systems Commonly Used In The Oil And Gas Industry. This Includes Knowledge Of Equipment Maintenance And Repair Procedures, As Well As The Ability To Interpret Technical Manuals And Schematics.

  • Experience In Maintenance Planning: Candidates For This Role Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Maintenance Planning, Preferably In The Oil And Gas Industry. This Experience Should Include Developing Maintenance Schedules, Coordinating With Vendors And Contractors, And Utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Cmms).

  • Organizational Skills: A Maintenance Planner Must Be Highly Organized And Able To Manage Multiple Tasks And Priorities Effectively. They Should Have Experience In Creating And Maintaining Detailed Maintenance Schedules, Tracking Equipment Downtime, And Coordinating Maintenance Activities With Production Schedules.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: This Role Requires Strong Analytical Skills And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Solve Complex Maintenance Issues. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Identify Potential Problems And Develop Effective Solutions To Minimize Equipment Downtime And Maximize Efficiency.

  • Communication And Teamwork: Effective Communication And Collaboration Are Essential For A Maintenance Planner At Bp. They Should Be Able To Work Closely With Various Teams, Including Maintenance Technicians, Production Personnel, And Management, To Ensure That Maintenance Activities Are Carried Out Efficiently And With Minimal Disruption To Operations. Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are Also Important For Creating Maintenance Reports And Documenting Procedures.
