- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of BP facilities and operations to identify potential health hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive industrial hygiene programs and policies in compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Provide technical support and guidance to management and employees on matters related to industrial hygiene and occupational health.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective strategies for mitigating occupational health risks.
- Conduct training and education programs for employees on safe work practices and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Monitor and analyze data related to workplace hazards and occupational illnesses to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to industrial hygiene and recommend updates to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in incident investigations and provide expertise in identifying root causes and developing preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to industrial hygiene activities and provide reports to management as needed.
- Communicate regularly with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and raise awareness of potential hazards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and industry partners.
- Conduct research and implement new technologies or methods to improve industrial hygiene practices within the company.
- Ensure compliance with all BP policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations related to industrial hygiene.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide support during audits and regulatory inspections.
- Proactively identify and report any potential or actual non-compliance issues and work with management to develop corrective actions.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field.
Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih) Designation From The American Board Of Industrial Hygiene (Abih).
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working As An Industrial Hygienist In The Oil And Gas Industry.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Relevant Regulatory Requirements, Such As Osha And Epa Standards.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Conduct Comprehensive Workplace Hazard Assessments And Develop Effective Control Measures.
