  1. Develop and implement external communication strategies that align with BP's overall goals and vision.
  2. Act as a key advisor to senior leaders on communication and public affairs matters.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government officials, and community leaders.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and alignment in messaging and communication efforts.
  5. Monitor and analyze media coverage and public perception of BP, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  6. Develop and maintain crisis communication plans and protocols.
  7. Identify and leverage opportunities to showcase BP's sustainability efforts and initiatives.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in external communications and public affairs.
  9. Represent BP at external events and conferences.
  10. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on communication strategies and messaging.
  11. Ensure all external communications are aligned with BP's brand and values.
  12. Collaborate with internal and external partners to create engaging and impactful content for various communication channels.
  13. Manage budgets and resources for external communication activities.
  14. Proactively identify potential risks and issues and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve external communication processes and procedures.
  16. Maintain a positive and professional image of BP in all external communication efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Communications Or External Affairs Role, Preferably In The Energy Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Global Energy Markets And The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Information To A Variety Of Stakeholders.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, Including Experience In Media Relations, Crisis Communications, And Executive Communication.

  • Demonstrated Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Key External Stakeholders, Such As Government Officials, Ngos, And Community Groups.
